Be VERY Selective With Your Title Tags When It Comes To SEO
The title tag has been AND most likely be one of the most important factors in achieving high search engine rankings.
Just adjusting the title tags can often generate quick and appreciable differences to rankings. And because the words in the title tag are what appear in the clickable link on the search engine results page (SERP), changing them may increase more click throughs.
Every page should have a unique title. If a subject needs to be explained over a few pages, use the sub-header (tagline) as a place to describe a product or service but in a few words. Sites that sell multiple products should have a unique title; a page, for every product. If time is not invested in this strategy, then think of a reason why a page would ever appear in a search engine.
If possible, try to place keywords in the title, since this will help the search engine determine where a page should be ranked. Remember, the search engines rank each page individually, that's why it's so important to use proper naming methods; to create many pages using unique content.
Should The Name Of The Company Be Incorporated?
While having the company name on all the pages is a potential branding strategy, chances are most visitors will not know "your brand name" yet and are looking for the product or service you’re selling. The best way to incorporate the company name into the title is to be placed after the main message you want to convey about that particular page.
